About The Position

Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and the community. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of the licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit. Specifically the registered nurse performs as a bedside nurse, teacher, medication nurse and care coordinator. The Registered Nurse exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.

Requirements

• NYS licensed/registered RN.
• One year post-licensure clinical nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
