How you’ll make an impact in this role Perform telephone triage and clinical assessment of cardiology patients and prioritize patient concerns using established protocols Coordinate urgent appointments or ED referrals as indicated and communicate complex cardiology-related findings to physicians Manage and oversee anticoagulation (Protime/INR) clinic operations and adjust anticoagulation dosing per protocol and/or physician direction Provide patient education on warfarin therapy, bleeding risks, dietary interactions Ensure compliance with standing orders using evidence-based guidelines and monitor quality metrics and follow-up compliance

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Georgia Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works, or Compact state license specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works, or Compact state license specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform telephone triage and clinical assessment of cardiology patients and prioritize patient concerns using established protocols
  • Coordinate urgent appointments or ED referrals as indicated and communicate complex cardiology-related findings to physicians
  • Manage and oversee anticoagulation (Protime/INR) clinic operations and adjust anticoagulation dosing per protocol and/or physician direction
