Registered Nurse – Cardiac Vascular Surgical Step Down

Heartline Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Vascular Surgical Step Down unit supporting post-operative and complex cardiac and vascular patients requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing care. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on clinical excellence and recovery. The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering individualized patient care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include completing age-appropriate assessments, developing and revising interdisciplinary plans of care, administering treatments and medications, and documenting care accurately within electronic medical record systems. Nurses utilize strong critical thinking, delegation, and communication skills to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved nursing program eligible for Virginia licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure
- CPR certification required
- Ability to obtain ACLS, PALS, or NRP certifications as required
- Computer proficiency required for electronic medical record documentation
- Successful completion of orientation and competency requirements
- Ability to meet essential job functions
