About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurses to join a high-performing cardiac specialty team in Independence, MO. In this role, you will care for patients with acute cardiac and medical conditions, interpret ECGs, and respond to emergent changes with strong clinical judgment. Unit Details 36-Bed Cardiac Specialty Unit Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Days: 4–5:1 Nights: 5–6:1 Common patient conditions include: Chest pain Stroke/TIA COPD Post-operative GI Arrhythmias & accelerated heart rhythms Drips & cardiac monitoring patients Leadership is highly focused on career growth , offering opportunities to expand into higher-acuity and critical care pathways.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
- Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Active Missouri RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 1 year
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and care for cardiac telemetry patients using evidence-based practice.
- Interpret ECG rhythms and respond promptly to patient changes.
- Provide therapeutic and administrative services according to hospital policies.
- Care for patients age 16+ requiring cardiac monitoring and step-down support.
- Ensure patient safety by identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Build advanced knowledge of psychosocial, spiritual, pathophysiological, and therapeutic components of cardiac care.
