Job Summary The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care. Clinical care in the Cardiac Rehab program requires management of patients in the rehabilitation phase of their recovery from cardiac events or diseases which include, MI, PCI, valve surgery, CABG, heart failure, heart transplant, angina, and other complex varieties of heart disease. The program consists of monitored exercise, strength, yoga, meditation, and educational presentations.

Requirements

  • 10 years Critical Care experience required.
  • Cardiac ICU, CCU, or Cardiac Surgery, Cath Lab experience preferred unless otherwise noted in job posting.
  • Previous interventional radiology and/or electrophysiology experience required.
  • BLS/ACLS certification required upon employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting/specialty area required
  • Uses the nursing process and evidence based practice to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
  • Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, and co-workers.
  • Assures quality of nursing practice through participation in performance improvement activities.
  • Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
  • Provides safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other multidisciplinary team members to facilitate a comprehensive educational plan.
