About The Position

Join a high-performing 27-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit specializing in both cardiac and neurological patient care. This team manages telemetry patients, post-CABG, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, and other high-acuity diagnoses. The unit is known for strong teamwork, supportive leadership, and a focus on patient safety and outcomes.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license or Compact RN (must convert to FL within 90 days)
• 1+ year of recent acute care RN experience
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience required
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification within 30 days of hire
• ASN or Nursing Diploma required (BSN preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in telemetry, stepdown, or med/surg telemetry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Long-term commitment (not a travel or contract role)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for cardiac and neuro telemetry patients
• Interpret telemetry strips; identify arrhythmias and respond to emergent conditions
• Monitor patient status and document assessments/interventions accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
