About The Position
Join a high-performing 27-bed Cardiac Neuro Telemetry unit caring for patients with cardiac and neurological diagnoses, including telemetry monitoring, post-CABG, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, and other high-acuity conditions. This unit is known for strong teamwork, supportive leadership, and a commitment to patient safety.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Florida license within 90 days)
- Minimum 1 year recent acute-care RN experience
- Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience required
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ASN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in telemetry, stepdown, or med/surg telemetry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Seeking a long-term, permanent role (not a travel contract)
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based nursing care to cardiac and neurological telemetry patients
- Interpret telemetry strips; identify arrhythmias and emergent conditions
- Monitor and document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
