The Cardiac Medical Observation Unit (CMO) is a newly renovated, 25 private room unit located on 6 North in the hospital. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care to Observation and Medical level patients during their brief stay. We do specialize in the care of Cardiac patients pre and post procedure. Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

Responsibilities

• Provide post Cath Lab care
• Develop clinical expertise and critical thinking skills
• Multi-task and manage time effectively
• Advocate for patients and families
• Obtain ACLS certification and apply Cardiac Dynamics knowledge
