IU Methodist's A3North is a 29-bed Medical/Surgical unit where the focus is the care of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 3North also focuses on the treatment of post interventional cardiovascular surgery patients including CABG, valve replacement, heart catheterization, and peripheral vascular surgeries such as revascularization and amputations. This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift, holiday differentials and a relocation bonus. More details about these differentials will be provided during the interview process. Referral eligible. Special Weekend Hours: Saturday/Sunday, 1 weekday requirement 7a-7:30p. Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
