Registered Nurse - Cardiac Holding Area (Per Diem)
About The Position

Interventional cardiology at BIDMC is an exciting, progressive and dynamic environment focused on all aspects of minimally invasive interventional cardiac procedures including both cardiac catheterization and Electrophysiology. Our team is nationally and internationally recognized, performing over 6,000 procedures annually, innovating, developing and evaluating novel technologies for the treatment of complex cardiovascular disorders. Our interventional suites consist of four cardiac catheterization rooms, three hybrid Operating Room Suites, three electrophysiology labs and two cardiac holding areas, with bays in our Farr and Klarman buildings. We support state-of-the-art catheter-based clinical and investigational treatments, perform peripheral angiography and highly complex EP interventions, including 3D mapping, sophisticated ablation techniques, device implants, and lead extractions. Job Description: Job Summary: The BIDMC Nursing Mission is to build on a legacy of nursing excellence by caring with compassion, advancing the art & science of nursing, and advocating for the health of patients, families, and communities. The Clinical Nurse II utilizes the nursing process as the frame of reference for practice as a professional registered nurse and provides direct nursing care to patients and families. Training, evaluation and competencies for this role are overseen by a Nurse Leader to the department.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
- License Registered Nurse required., and Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
- 1-3 years related work experience required.
- Basic familiarity with computers.
- Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities
