About The Position

The Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab provides care for patients undergoing procedures in the department of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Endovascular Suite in the Heart & Vascular Center. This includes, prep, procedure and recovery of these patients as well as on-call responsibilities for this care. Assists in clinical care for all patients as needed in the HVC.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• NYS licensed/registered Nurse (or eligible).
• Minimum of 2 years post licensure acute care nursing experience, preferably in an ICU/cardiac/critical care setting.
• CPR/BLS certification required by time of appointment.
• Ability to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS Certification preferred.
• Acute care experience in Cardiac Care.
• Experience in ICU/Critical Care.
