About The Position

The position is within the Cardiac Cath Lab, where the nurse collaborates with physicians to develop a care plan aimed at returning patients to optimal health. The role involves providing bedside nursing care, executing medical orders, and overseeing the functions of various support staff including Nurse Assistants and Patient Care Associates. The nurse is also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the care plan and ensuring that patient needs are met throughout their care journey.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license to practice in Michigan.
• Minimum one-year clinical experience in critical care, special procedures, surgery, or step-down cardiac care.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cardiac catheterization laboratory or CVH experience.
• Six months experience in an acute care setting or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• E.P. experience for E.P. staff members only.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
