About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab position at Cedars-Sinai involves providing expert clinical care in a fast-paced environment, specifically within the Cardiovascular Intervention Center. The role requires accountability for patient care from admission to discharge, including participation in invasive procedures and on-call coverage for emergencies. This position is critical in delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics, in a facility recognized for excellence in cardiology.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Valid California RN License required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• CCRN, CVRN, or RCIS certification required (or to be obtained within one year of hire).
• 3 years of Acute Care Nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of Critical Care experience strongly recommended.
• Experience in Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Lab/EP preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of appropriate Cath Lab/EP experience required for CN III qualification.

Nice To Haves

• BSN strongly preferred.
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions with all patient populations for CN II or III qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the nursing process and delivery of patient care.
• Work in Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization procedure rooms and holding area.
• Circulate, monitor, and scrub for invasive procedures for patients of all ages.
• Provide care for cardiac patients from admission to discharge, including during procedures with x-ray exposure.
• Be on-call for emergency procedures during evenings, nights, and weekends with a maximum 30-minute response time.
• Stay in a local hotel while on-call if living more than 30 minutes from the facility.
