Registered Nurse Cardiac Care
About The Position
A leading healthcare organization in Kansas City, MO is seeking skilled and compassionate Cardiac Care Registered Nurses to join a high-acuity cardiovascular team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population at a comprehensive stroke and STEMI facility. Cardiac Care RNs provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, ablations, pacemaker/AICD procedures, and other cardiovascular surgeries. You will collaborate within a strong, problem-solving team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (cardiac strongly preferred)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure: Active Missouri RN license (or compact RN license)
- Certifications: BLS required upon hire ACLS required within 6 months
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with state Nursing Practice Acts and ANA Standards.
- Support patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures.
- Monitor patient progress, respond to acute changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, documentation standards, and regulatory guidelines.
