Communicates with physicians, nurses and other staff about patients’ clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in conditions of response to treatment. Assists Physician with examination and treatment of patients. Check vitals, i.e. height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure of each patient, assists with patients' medical histories laboratory tests and applies bandages. May instruct patient regarding home treatment and perform other administrative tasks such as medical records, bookkeeping, and answering phones. Avoids supply waste & is cost effective.

Requirements

  • Current Texas or Compact RN license licensure and current CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  • Six months nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation process also necessary.
