About The Position

Cedar Springs Hospital is dedicated to delivering the highest quality services to individuals and their families dealing with mental illness or substance abuse. The position involves the coordination and supervision of direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in acute care and residential programs. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating quality nursing care as prescribed by the Treatment Team/Physician, providing safety and crisis management, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients.
• Knowledgeable of psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses.
• Ability to direct others in service delivery and organize multiple tasks.
• Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures.
• Ability to delegate responsibility and assure completion of shift duties.
• Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be licensed in the State of Colorado or hold a current compact license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients.
• Assess patients/residents needs and coordinate/implement the delivery of quality nursing care.
• Provide safety and crisis management for patient populations.
• Assure a safe and therapeutic environment.
