About The Position

Atrium Health Union West is a hospital, emergency department, and specialty care center all wrapped into one location – with extra amenities to help restore your body and mind. Atrium Health Union West has 40 acute care licensed beds, 3 operating rooms, imaging services, including MRI, CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound, and more, and laboratory and pharmacy services. The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. This position is part-time, requiring work every Saturday and Sunday from 7 PM to 7 AM, and is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support required per policy guidelines.
  • Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
  • Analyze the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
  • Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
  • Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
  • Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Lead within the professional practice setting and the profession.
  • Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Contribute to quality nursing practice.
  • Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.
  • Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
  • Practice ethically.
  • Promote shared governance, or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion.
