About The Position

Atrium Health Union West is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position is full-time, working night shifts, and offers a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. As a Registered Nurse in our ED, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in emergency situations. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your expertise will be vital in managing critical situations and ensuring the best outcomes for our patients.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an emergency department or critical care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
