About The Position

The position is for a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Atrium Health Union. The role involves working weekend night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, totaling 24 hours per week. The pay range for this position is between $34.90 and $52.35 per hour. The RN will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The RN will also uphold a culture of safety, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate EHR documentation. The position may require floating to other units and demands knowledge of age-specific care requirements.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• No formal RN experience required.
