About The Position

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health unit in Charlotte, NC. This position is full-time and will require working night shifts. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients in a psychiatric setting. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will also be involved in patient education and support, ensuring that patients and their families understand the treatment process and available resources.

Requirements

• Current RN license in North Carolina
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous experience in psychiatric nursing is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Certification in psychiatric nursing (e.g., RN-BC)
• Crisis intervention training

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult psychiatric patients
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and resources
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
