Make a Difference The Ambulatory Registered Nurse functions as a member of the Palliative Care team, conducting duties such as\: phone triage, patient education, scheduling appointments, prescription refill, referrals, care coordination, advanced care planning, checking messages in MyChart, and other related tasks as needed. The office is located on the north side in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Community MD Anderson North Cancer Center.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • One year or more of nursing experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent team skills.
  • Compassionate and caring.
  • Accountable and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of nursing experience in hospice, critical care, or ambulatory preferred.
  • Phone triage experience a plus.
  • EPIC experience a plus.
