About The Position

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide culturally sensitive, age-specific telehealth nursing for Primary Care patients, including both adult and pediatric populations. The role involves assessing patient needs, managing prescription refill requests, and adapting communication styles to diverse backgrounds. The nurse will utilize electronic protocols to document health information accurately and will collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. Requirements

• Current licensure to practice nursing in Michigan as a RN.
• Two (2) years current RN experience in Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Ambulatory Care nursing, providing care to both adult and pediatric patients.

• RN experience with phone triage in an Ambulatory Care setting
• Experience as a charge nurse or equivalent management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally sensitive, age-specific telehealth nursing for Primary Care patients.
• Assess patient needs and assist with medical issues related to health concerns.
• Manage prescription refill requests and secure patient messages.
• Adapt communication style to patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Utilize excellent listening skills to receive detailed information.
• Use electronic protocol database to assess, educate, and document health information accurately.
• Meet minimum established quality and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with providers in providing advice or determining patient disposition.
• Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel and promote continuity of care.
