Registered Nurse - Adult Psych - Full Time - Day Shift
About The Position
The psychiatric unit nurse cares for patients with behavioral health illnesses in an acute care setting. The psychiatric unit nurse is responsible to conduct intake interviews, assess and evaluate the patient, establish a plan of care, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and may conduct therapeutic groups. Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates • $15,000.00 Sign on Bonus • 80 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off • Up to $3,000.00 Relocation bonus • $1.00 Certification pay • $1.00 BSN pay • Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000.00
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
- Exhibits valuable time management skills
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Previous nursing experience
