About The Position

Cedar Park Med is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for an Adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a fast-paced acute care hospital. This is a 13-week assignment with possible extension, ideal for nurses confident in IV starts, lab draws, and telemetry monitoring , and ready to step into a structured unit with minimal orientation. Shift / Schedule Day shift – 12-hour shifts Every other weekend required 2–3 major holidays required 13-week assignment (possible extension) Position Overview As an RN on the Adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit, you will care for adult patients across a range of acuity levels while managing telemetry monitoring and delivering safe, efficient acute care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, solid technical skills, and dependable documentation.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license/registration
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 1.5 years recent RN experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care hospital of similar size and acuity
• Ability to start IVs, draw labs, and monitor telemetry

Nice To Haves

• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
• EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct RN care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Perform patient assessments and monitor telemetry
• Start IVs, draw labs, and administer medications/treatments as ordered
• Report changes in patient condition and collaborate with the care team
• Document care accurately in the medical record
