In our med/surg acuity adaptable unit at Frankfort, we care for patients that range from all ages. Our 12-bed unit can have anywhere from 4-6 to 1 nurse/patient ratio along with a house supervisor that assists our team. Our nurses care for adult (18yo+) patients including those that require IV medication drips, stroke patients, calling and running codes, orthopedics, etc. Our team also cares for PCU patients. Nursing skills gained: A variety of skills that aid adult patients at beginning, throughout, and end of life care Unit success/designations : Our unit has successful Pathway designation, Patient experience score in the high 70’s Unit culture/highlights: Unified team

Requirements

Requires 1 year RN experience.
Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
