The Rehab nurse is responsible for all normal nursing duties: assessment, admissions, discharges, education, administering medications via multiple routes, patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, blood draws, placing peripheral IVs, maintaining central and peripheral lines, foley catheters, bowel programs, etc. The most rewarding piece is watching the patients gain higher function and ability to care for themselves.
