Requirements

  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
  • Two (2) years of RN experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Experience in a hospital setting.
  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

  • Applies broad clinical and administrative knowledge to align departmental strategy with health system goals and patient outcomes.
  • Optimizes bed utilization and throughput across campuses through strategy development and implementation.
  • Collaborates with clinical teams to streamline the admission, discharge, and transfer process and support operational efficiency.
  • Collaborates with patients, family, nurses, physicians, logistics, house supervisors, and the leadership team to ensure streamlined processes and support operational efficiency.
  • Manages facilities and physical resources to support effective patient care and reduce waste.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to drive organizational success and improve patient outcomes.
  • Works in conjunction with the leadership team to support and align budget management, in alignment with health system priorities, and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversees policy implementation and regulatory reporting for assigned departments.
  • Participates in at least one shared leadership committee outside of departmental shared leadership.
  • Develops and communicates strategic and operational goals for admission, discharge, and transfer services, ensuring alignment with regulatory and performance improvement standards.
  • Maintains clinical competencies to provide direct patient care as necessary.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
