Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
• Registered Nurse, State of CT.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.

Nice To Haves

• Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, and policies and procedures of the hospital.
• Develops a plan of care for complex, multi-varianced population of patients.
• Meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.
