About The Position

“Our team took care of a mother who had been struck by a drunk driver in a car accident alongside her daughter, suffering from factures in her spine, ribs, and femur. Despite her condition, she desperately wanted to be by her daughter's side, who was also being treated for injuries. In just two days , we were able to help the mother regain enough strength to walk out of our unit and reunite with her daughter .” - Orthopedic RN- Imagine being the first person to hold a patients hand as they take their first pain-free step in years. As a valued nursing professional on our Acute Orthopedic Unit, you'll help patients regain mobility after fractures, injuries, or chronic conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis. Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
Bachelors Degree, Associates Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
A minimum of six months employment experience as a Registered Nurse in any setting (short or long-term acute care, home health, etc).

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team - consisting of the provider(s), therapy, and more.
Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly
Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures
