About The Position

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Registered Midwife to join their Antenatal Clinic and Home Care team in a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE) opportunity. This role is based at the brand new Mater Hospital Springfield, a state-of-the-art public hospital with 174 beds, ICU, maternity, emergency, and surgical services, designed to care for over 200,000 patients annually in the growing Greater Springfield region. The position requires an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Midwife to provide exceptional midwifery care, demonstrating proficiency in coordinating, assessing, risk management, and communication within a multidisciplinary framework. It offers a chance to join a highly skilled and professional team, utilizing midwifery passion for best practice in a supportive environment. The role involves caring for women and families, working in partnership, and demonstrating excellent communication skills to build relationships and ensure exceptional family-centred care.

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
  • At least one year post graduate experience, preferably within an Antenatal environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
  • Evidence of continuing educational and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to role model the Mater mission and values
