Friendship is seeking Registered Medication Aides to join our growing team in both Roanoke and Salem, VA. Our Registered Medication Aides provide quality nursing care to residents; implements specific procedures and programs designated by facility processes. We are a leading long-term care, rehabilitation, and assisted living community, offering a supportive work environment, excellent staffing ratios, and opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • RMA license in the state of Virginia required
  • Adult First Aid/CPR and AED
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift/move 50+ lbs routinely

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with resident admissions, transfers and discharges as instructed by licensed nurse
  • Assist resident with daily personal care, bath and bathroom functions
  • Maintain records of resident care and condition
  • Assist resident with walking, repositioning, sitting, standing, with or without the use of medical equipment and toileting
  • Measure and record vital signs, height and weight as required
  • Comply with all requirements set forth in individual resident care plans utilizing the kardex for guidance
  • Report any injuries, skin conditions or other changes to residents’ condition or behavior to supervisor immediately
  • Prepare, serve and provide feeding assistance as necessary to include but not limited to set-up
  • Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession, as well as to maintain your license on a current status
  • Ensure resident has adequate supplies and that Orbitz is utilized appropriately for tracking/charging purposes
