About The Position
At Concentra, the Registered Medical Assistant (MSS) plays a vital role in our patient care team, contributing significantly to the health and well-being of America's workforce. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and are ready to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment. The MSS is responsible for performing routine medical and testing procedures under the direct supervision of the treating clinician, ensuring that every patient receives quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience. The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including preparing patients for physical examinations, conducting drug and alcohol testing, and assisting providers during examinations and treatments. The MSS must maintain a welcoming and respectful atmosphere, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the MSS is also tasked with clerical duties that support patient care and proper record-keeping. This includes greeting patients, obtaining authorizations, checking patients in and out, and managing communications through a multi-line telephone system. The MSS must adhere to HIPAA guidelines and safety rules, ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information. The role requires a commitment to ongoing training and development, as well as a focus on teamwork and collaboration with peers and center leadership. The MSS is expected to maintain a clean and orderly facility, ensuring that all medical devices and equipment are properly maintained and functioning. This position is essential for the smooth operation of the medical center and for delivering high-quality care to our patients.
