About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care and education to patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to assess nutritional needs, develop appropriate care plans, and support positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian
• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods & Nutrition
• New York State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist
• Certification must be issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and provide education on food and medication interactions
• Accurately document food and drug interactions in patient education records
• Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications
• Screen and assess patients based on level of care to determine nutritional needs
• Provide follow-up nutritional care and ongoing patient monitoring
• Interview patients and/or family members to gather dietary history and preferences
• Interpret laboratory results, physical assessments, and social data related to nutrition
• Deliver nutrition education and document patient understanding of dietary instructions
• Modify patient menus as clinically indicated
