About The Position

Overview PRN - Daylight Steelton, PA ADA Registered Dietitian and valid Driver's License required Senior LIFE is an innovative home and community based Medicare and Medicaid funded program which provides all-inclusive healthcare services and support to seniors living in the community. To fulfill this mission, Senior LIFE is seeking hardworking, dedicating and compassionate professionals to join its team, with the Registered Dietitian being one of the most important roles. The ideal candidate must be an ADA Registered Dietitian, have a valid driver's license, and must have one year's experience working specifically with an elderly or aging population. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Developing comprehensive nutritional plans for each member, in line with his/her care plan
  • Implementing nutrition-based care plans and supplements, then evaluating members for improvement/change
  • Visiting in-home members to conduct initial intakes and dietary planning, then conducting ongoing visits/evaluation to check on progress and compliance
  • Communicating nutritional plans to physicians, nurses, family members and caregivers
  • Ensuring best practices are established and maintained in the LIFE Center kitchen and food prep areas, including food spoilage and sanitation
  • Managing and working within the LIFE Center nutritional budget
  • Working as part of a larger member interdisciplinary team, and serving as the voice of members’ nutrition/dietary needs
