About The Position

Registered Dietitian Full-time Day Shift Mon-Fri APPLY TODAY! We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian with good interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in helping our elderly individuals at our Skilled Long-term Care facility located in Cortland, New York. As the Registered Dietitian, you will oversee the nutritional well-being of our residents. Conduct nutrition assessments, identifying residents’ nutritional needs and creating effective diet plans.

Requirements

  • One year of experience with Seniors as a Registered Dietitian in Long-Term Care, Hospital or healthcare setting, preferred.
  • Must have a masters degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Nutrition or Dietetics as well as the completion of the accredited Dietetic Internship program.
  • Knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulations and the survey process.
  • Do not require license.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience with Seniors as a Registered Dietitian in Long-Term Care, Hospital or healthcare setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitors the Resident’s nutritional status, provide recommendations to medical staff, and develop adequate care plans.
  • Evaluate the special needs of Residents regarding nutrition support, skin breakdown, and significant weight loss.
  • Partner with the interdisciplinary team to review and adjust resident’s care plans.
  • Work closely with Speech Pathologists to ensure appropriate mechanically altered diets are provided for residents with dysphagia.
  • Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
