Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited program. or related field.
Completion of a dietic internship with an accredited program.
Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a clinical, outpatient, community health, or hospital setting.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and individualized nutrition counseling.
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop care plans.
Support patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.
Track patient progress and adjust nutrition plans to improve outcomes.
Partner with primary care providers and care teams to deliver integrated care.
Participate in case reviews and population health initiatives.
Contribute nutrition expertise to chronic disease management programs.
Lead nutrition education sessions and group classes.
Promote healthy lifestyle changes and disease prevention.
Support community outreach and health promotion activities.
