Dietitian - Part-Time Valle Vista Health System is a 132-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, IN. For more information, please visit us at valle vistahospital.com Position Summary: This part-time Dietitian plans modified diets as requested by the attending physician/licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsels patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles. The Dietitian also assists the Dietary Manager with menu revisions and Dietary policy and procedure revisions. Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in nutritional studies required.
  • Registered Dietician in Indiana.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree, preferred.
  • One year experience in a health care setting completing nutritional assessments, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals.
  • Plan for modified diets for patients as requested by provider.
  • Perform nutritional assessments.
  • Provide guidance to Food Services staff.
  • Approve all menus and make food service provision relevant to dietary requirements.
