Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required
• Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
• State certification/licensure required
• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a long-term care environment and geriatric nutrition preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor residents’ nutritional status and dietary needs
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nutrition care plans
• Ensure compliance with physician orders and established dietary guidelines
• Manage therapeutic diets and necessary modifications
• Evaluate potential food and medication interactions
• Document nutritional assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and staff
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support optimal resident outcomes
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
