About The Position

Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for all aspects of patient's nutritional care, which includes formulating nutritional care plans and overseeing their implementation. • Ensure Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice are followed, and make recommendations to appropriate clinical personnel. • Confer with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient’s nutritional status and attend related patient care conferences. • Responsible for nutritional assessment, services and discharge planning. • Assist in developing and implementing the Culinary & Nutritional Department CQI activities. • Provide nutritional counseling and ongoing evaluations. • Responsible for educational sessions regarding diets and eating habits. • Responsible for overall supervision of Culinary Department clinical personnel; includes orientation, training and evaluating performance. • Demonstrate geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge and skills to patient care

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences.
  • Maintain a Massachusetts Dietitian License.
  • Maintain registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • At least 2 years of related administrative and clinical experience in a health care facility.
  • Knowledge of growth and development across the life span

Nice To Haves

  • Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.
