Registered Dietitian - Part Time (Hospital)
About The Position
Part Time: 24 hours per week with benefits Hybrid Position Provide medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for patients. Incorporate current evidence-based research into practice, utilizing the Nutrition Care Process Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with physicians, patients, families, and other hospital staff. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with major in Foods and Nutrition or a closely related field or equivalent. Master’s Degree as required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (effective Jan. 1, 2024) or bachelor’s degree grandfathered prior to this update.
- Minimum: Dietetic Registration Eligible. Must be able to pass RD examination within one year of date of hire.
- Technical, human relations, conceptual and management skills and the ability to apply principles of dietetics and nutrition in a variety of formats.
- Able to perform duties within the guidelines of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics practice standards.
- Excellent customer service orientation skills are necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.
Nice To Haves
- Proof of Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- One-year full-time professional dietetics experience preferred
