About The Position
Registered Dietitian-Per Diem-Eddy Visiting Nurses-Capital Region Eddy VNRA, a 5 star home health agency, is looking for a per diem Registered Dietitian to visit patients in need in their homes in the Capital District. Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics (Didactic Program for Dietetics).
- Registered Dietitian Certification with New York State is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year Dietitian experience is required - preferably in an acute setting
- Home care experience preferred but not required
Nice To Haves
- ADA registration preferred but not required.
- Home care experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Work one on one with patients and families in their home setting or per televisit which allows you to customize their diets.
- Educate patients (and their families) on specialized diet and assist in weight management
- You may have the opportunity to work with MDs and outside agencies for pts with enteral feeding and TPN.
- Patients are referred following a hospitalization, inpatient rehab stay or by their physicians.
