This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting all aspects of in-patient nutritional screening and assessment. Instructs inpatients and outpatients on diets as requested. Teaches nutrition classes and diet in-services to staff as needed. Is responsible for the nutritional care of inpatients identified at nutritional risk. The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of Nutrition Services along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. his is a per diem, hourly position working variable shifts and variable hours. WORK ENVIRONMENT The individual in this position reports to the Nutrition Services Director. This position works closely with Physicians and Nutrition Services staff in order to meet patient’s nutritional needs.
