About The Position

Forefront Healthcare is looking for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team at a regional hospital in Pearsall, TX. This part-time Dietitian will work onsite 8 hours per week, and includes a $50 gas stipend. The RD will lead and direct the functions of clinical nutrition services; nutrition assessment, counseling/consultation, performance improvements ensuring high quality nutritional care is provided to patients while meeting Federal, State and local standards.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of acute care or mental health and Registered Dietitian experience.
• Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree.
• Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports and delivers the highest level of nutrition care to patients to meet the customer’s overall needs.
• Calculate nutritional needs, establish goals, and implement medical nutrition therapy for patients based on their overall nutritional status.
• Establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs which lead to optimal clinical nutrition and positive financial outcomes.
• Comply with regulatory standards – both Federal and State and accrediting agencies adhering to confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, residents’ right policies and Joint Commission regulations.
• Collaborate with IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) to provide quality nutrition and culinary program.
• Review menu cycle for nutrient analysis and diet consistencies.
• Supports quality assurance initiatives in the kitchen.
• Implement Health & Wellness initiatives.
