About The Position
The Registered Dietitian will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary, team-based program providing care to patients within the Musculoskeletal Institute at UT Health Austin, Dell Medical School. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian will collaborate with the Division of Health Social Work, working collectively to deliver exemplary, patient-centered care in an innovative and dynamic environment. The Division of Health Social Work serves as a centralized hub for social workers and other integrated health providers, fostering an environment that empowers professionals to improve health and enhance the well-being of patients and families in partnership with patients, families, and communities. Through cutting-edge models and comprehensive services, the division creates tangible value within the healthcare ecosystem while championing whole-person care and interprofessional collaboration. Functioning as a formalized collaborative structure, the Division of Health Social Work unites interprofessional missions, cultivating synergies that drive impactful, patient-centric care. The Division of Health Social Work offers additional clinical training opportunities for individuals working towards licensure, including supervision for those pursuing their LCSW. The Registered Dietitian will support patients with chronic musculoskeletal medical conditions in achieving their healthcare goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. This includes assessing nutritional status and needs, developing and implementing personalized nutrition care plans, and monitoring progress. The Registered Dietitian will deliver evidence-based nutrition interventions tailored to the needs of patients with complex medical conditions.
