About The Position

The Registered Dietitian/Food Service Manager provides nutrition expertise and oversees daily food service operations to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and cost‑effective meal services. This role conducts nutrition assessments, working directly with physicians and nursing staff, supports patient wellness, and leads kitchen staff to maintain safety, sanitation, and exceptional service standards. Collaboration with clinical teams and strong leadership skills are essential to supporting positive health outcomes and an excellent dining experience.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related field.
  • Experience in clinical nutrition, including assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience in food service management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow oversight
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, state health codes, food safety, sanitation (JACHO/DNV)
  • Ability to manage menu planning, special diets, and therapeutic nutrition needs
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, and team development
  • Ability to manage inventory, ordering, and cost‑control practices
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (MedHost a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance clinical and operational responsibilities.
