About The Position

The Registered Dietitian at Atherton Park Post Acute is responsible for providing nutritional care to residents, ensuring optimal health and nutritional status. This role involves evaluating residents' nutritional needs, recommending dietary interventions, and managing facility menus while adhering to budget constraints. The position also includes developing educational programs for dietary and nursing staff.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a health care setting preferred.
• Must meet all license, certification, training or credentials as required by the State.
• Must have knowledge of or be willing to learn the requirements of Federal and State Regulations related to the Dietary Department.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to plan, organize, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the Dietary Department.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of physiology and weight loss strategies.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the nutritional care of residents and document in the medical record.
• Using the company formulary, recommend dietary interventions according to the status of the resident.
• Evaluate changes to the facility's menus for nutritional adequacy.
• Manage the menus within facility budget.
• Provide monthly reviews and documentation for residents with weight loss, receiving enteral nutrition, wound care and others at high risk.
• Assist the Dietary manager in developing, implementing and evaluating educational programs for dietary and nursing personnel.
