Sodexo is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our education nutrition team serving a Western, Illinois School District . This is a brand-new Registered Dietitian position for Sodexo at this account, giving you a unique opportunity to build and shape the nutrition program from the ground up across two high schools serving approximately 2,000 students. You’ll be part of a high-energy, upbeat team where your expertise will directly impact children’s health by educating students on healthy eating and ensuring every meal meets USDA and Illinois State Board of Education standards. Reimbursement for Academy dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal Money toward continuing education events Up to $5,000 tuition reimbursement annually What You'll Do Ensure compliance with USDA meal pattern requirements, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBOE) regulations, and Sodexo operating standards across both high school sites Manage and maintain the 5-week menu cycle using PrimeroEdge nutrition software, including menu tracking, recipe compliance, and audit documentation Collaborate daily with school nursing staff, kitchen staff, and parents to address student allergies, special dietary needs, and IEP-related nutrition requirements Conduct site visits approximately 2 days per week; provide training and support for USDA-related topics, after-school programs, and summer feeding programs Support procurement processes including forecasting, commodity procedures, product compliance, and identifying approved substitutions Deliver classroom and community nutrition education, primarily at the elementary level, promoting healthy eating habits among students What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. What You Bring Credentials: Registered Dietitian (RD) required; Illinois licensure required (or eligibility to obtain) Knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition Program regulations and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBOE) guidelines Experience with or ability to quickly learn nutrition analysis software such as PrimeroEdge and POS systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with students, families, nursing staff, and school administrators in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel between school sites within the O’Fallon community; access to reliable transportation required Open to new graduates with strong foundational knowledge of community or school nutrition Who We Are At Sodexo, our purpose is to create a better everyday for everyone and build a better life for all. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
