About The Position

McCallum Place is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the nutritional health and overall well-being of our clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Located in St. Louis, Missouri, McCallum Place is a comprehensive eating disorder treatment center serving all genders, ages 10 and up. We offer a unique approach that combines on-site medical and psychiatric care with intensive individualized psychotherapy—creating a center of excellence and a strong alternative to traditional hospital settings. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current registered dietician or registration as required by state or eligible for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services.
  • ServSafe certification or similar food safety certification where required by the state or facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in clinical or behavioral health settings preferred
  • Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance use strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
  • Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
  • Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.
  • Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.
  • Review and approve menus developed by the facility.
  • Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
  • Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient.
  • Participate in treatment team as appropriate.
  • Review and approve facility diet manual annually in conjunction with medical staff.
  • Promote better health by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as needed.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
