About The Position

Boyer Children's Clinic is currently seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to join our team! Boyer provides medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays, and their families. For more information, visit www.boyercc.org . Working with staff at all levels, the Registered Dietitian provides evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services for children with feeding difficulties aged birth to three. Our Dietitian will work in partnership with other care team members to plan and coordinate nutrition care delivery for all patients referred by care team members. The Dietitian will formulate, revise, and maintain enteral nutrition patient care plans based on physician orders and assessment findings including the identification of patient problems/needs, goals and actions, and interventions relating to the care or service provided. The right person will be able to work collaboratively and earn trust quickly, while maintaining a focus on our overall mission. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Provide direct, indirect, or consultative services to children with feeding difficulties in client homes, at other community sites, and in the center, in compliance with regulatory and company practices. Ability to work with and support infants and toddlers with Nasogastric Tube (NG Tube), Nasojejunal Tube (NJ Tube), Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), and provide weaning programs from the tube Knowledgeable about community resources/WIC for feeding essentials, varieties of bottles, infant/toddler feeding tools, etc. Knowledgeable about growth and weight gain in infants in toddlers Have a comfort level and/or experience working with a variety of food cultures Ability to provide strategizes for maximizing growth and increasing calories in infants and toddlers Coordinate program with child's caregiver(s), other therapy and educational programs, and with other involved agencies and professionals. Schedule Estimated to be around 8 hours per month, with potential for increased hours and schedule flexibility Compensation $35.70 - $48.30 per hour

Requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, staff, co-workers, and physicians.
  • Ability to instruct parents and other persons involved in the handling and management of the child.
  • Ability to pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and fingerprint check.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and/or Dietetics, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD or RDN)
  • Licensed Dietitian for the geographical area where he/she manages patients (LD or LDN)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification are required.
  • Must possess valid Washington State Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and a reliable means of transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of RD/RDN experience preferred, but not required
