The Registered Dietitian provides clinical and public health nutritional assessments, education, and service to patients. This position provides information and counseling to patients in individual and group settings regarding health maintenance, nutritional principles, and disease prevention. The Registered Dietitian creates nutritional programs and diet modifications based on patient needs, and counsels patients and their families on how to lead a healthier lifestyle.

  • Assess patient nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and develop a dietary care plan.
  • Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve quality of life.
  • Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
  • Consult with physicians and Healthcare personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, food service, community health, or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) - State Licensing Board.
  • Provide nutritional counseling on special diets, to ensure proper preparation and consumption of nourishment.
  • Plans and conducts special need group sessions for weight reduction and control.
